Bluefire Bellydancers
Performances
End of Year Concert
Each year, students have the opportunity to perform in our End of Year Concert. This is a great opportunity to invite your family and friends to join us in celebrating what we have learned throughout the year.
Students will normally work on one choreography per term, specifically for the concert. Intermediate and Advanced students may volunteer to dance their own choreographed pieces.
Community Festivals
Bluefire Bellydancers can be available to dance at Community Festivals. We see these festivals as a great way to promote bellydance as a fun and inclusive dance form. You may have seen us at your local festival, such as Laverton, Craigieburn, Yarraville, Moonee Valley or many others!
As students master their choreographies, they may be asked if they would like to perform at these Festivals throughout the year.
Workshops & Special Events
Workshops
Emily teaches workshops, either at events or festivals. These workshops can be basic techniques or a full choreography. Some of these choreographies are ones which are taught in our regular classes, others may be created for particular event or dance festival.
Special Events
There are times when Bluefire Bellydancers may be approached to perform at a Wedding or to run a workshop at a Hen's Night. These requests are considered on an individual basis and normally are only open to our teachers and advanced students.
Fundraisers
Bluefire Bellydancers have been actively involved in numerous community fundraisers, bringing their unique energy and artistry to support important causes. Their participation includes performing at events like Shimmy Mob, a global initiative to raise awareness and funds for domestic violence shelters, and supporting mental health with vibrant performances for Beyond Blue. They've also danced to help raise funds for the Good Friday Appeal, contributing to vital pediatric health services, and taken part in Relay for Life, where their performances have uplifted spirits and helped generate donations for cancer research. Additionally, they have contributed to Dance for Dementia, raising awareness and funds to support those affected by dementia. Through their dance, Bluefire Bellydancers not only entertain but also make a positive impact on the community.
